How to custom fit a paper pattern – Wed 27th February for 6 weeks 7pm-9pm

Do you struggle getting shop bought garments to fit you?

Why don’t you come along to our custom fit paper pattern making class and learn how to make garments that fit properly?  This class is for people who are confident sewers, who can use a sewing machine and are already able to make their own garments.  Please bring along your own sewing machine if you prefer, however, we have machines here which you can use instead.  Please let us know if you intend to bring your own.

You will learn:

  • How to select the best fit pattern for your chosen garment
  • All possible adjustment points and to take accurate measurements
  • How to adjust your pattern to custom fit to your true measurement
  • How to make and cut a personalised “pattern block” for future use

You will make pattern blocks for the following:

A classic skirt, top, trousers and by combining the skirt and top you will make a dress block.

On completion of the course you will have your blocks, notes and the knowledge to custom fit all your future dressmaking projects.

Coffee/tea & cake provided every week.
