Monday evening sewing

Service Description

Learn how to sew in our evening class for Beginners or Improvers. Please note there will be no classes on 25th Dec & 1st January Beginners: You will be taught how to read patterns, layout, cutting & step by step instructions for completing your chosen project. Bring along a pattern and fabric or purchase both in our shop. If you bring in these items please choose an easy pattern which requires the use of cotton fabric (cotton is the easiest fabric to start on). We have lots of fabric in stock and also stock Butterick, McCalls & Liberty patterns. Please leave enough time for your fabric to be washed & ironed (there may be a slight shrinkage after washing) before you start your class. Please bring a small sewing kit containing fabric scissors, pins, hand sewing needles, tape measure, quick unpicker, thread & machine bobbin. If you need any we have a stock of all items in our own shop which you can purchase. Bring any project you like and we will help you to complete. Please note: we have separate classes for cushions, curtains, blinds & aprons so please look out for them.
